The Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions are multilateral environmental agreements, which share the common objective of protecting human health and the environment from hazardous chemicals and wastes. In order to enhance the cooperation and coordination among the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, their respective conferences of the Parties have taken a series of decisions. Below is a list of decisions specifically related to technical assistance.

In undertaking this task, the Secretariat should consult with Convention focal points and with existing regional and subregional centres and their host organizations providing technical assistance and technology transfer for chemicals and chemical waste issues; Adopts the criteria for evaluating the performance of regional and subregional centres for capacity-building and technology transfer set forth in annex II to the present decision. |
