Why You Should Engage
Children and young people play an important role in shaping a toxic-free future. Every action helps prevent pollution and protect communities. Engaging means helping to Make visible the invisible: the hazardous chemicals in our products, the wastes we generate, and their impacts on our health and environment.
Your participation matters because:
- You are part of the generation that will live with today’s decisions.
- Children and youth can inspire behavioural change, at home, at school, and in local communities, etc..
- By learning, sharing, and acting, you help prevent pollution before it happens.
Everyone has a role to play in protecting human health and the environment!
Whether you are a student, teacher, youth our children organisation, researcher or policymaker, or else, there are many ways to engage with the work of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions. Children and young people have already participated in BRS Conventions-related activities, for example as speakers or participants in webinars, side events, at BRS Conventions COPs meetings, etc.
You can, for example:
