Highlights: The annual joint meeting to enhance cooperation and coordination between the regional centres under the Basel and Stockholm conventions was held on 5 and 6 December 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The meeting brought together representatives from 20 Basel and Stockholm Convention Regional and Coordinating Centres, covering all regions. Participants reviewed follow-up to the outcomes of the 2025 Conferences of the Parties, exchanged experience and best practices, and discussed priorities for the coming intersessional period. Discussions focused on technical assistance delivery, project development, resource mobilization and cooperation under Basel Convention partnerships, reaffirming the central role of Regional Centres in supporting Parties through coordinated and effective implementation of the Conventions.

Meeting objectives:
- To promote the enhanced coordination and collaboration among the regional centres such that it ensures the best use of the expertise available with regional centres in the delivery of technical assistance;
- To promote networking opportunity with various partners, including networks that are involved in assisting Parties in implementing the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions;
